The Daniel JeanRichard brand of watches began in the late 17th century. Born in 1665, Daniel JeanRichard began as a young goldsmith apprentice. It was during that apprenticeship that Daniel acquired a deep fondness for watchmaking. He was a consummate professional and an absolute perfectionist. His attention to detail and precision in the watchmaking process led him to become one of the first fabricators of machinery for the production of watch parts. Daniel died in 1741 having left a lifetime of achievements and contributions to the art of Swiss watchmaking.
Fast forward almost 300 years to the resurrection of the JeanRichard brand by Massimo Macaluso, the head of the Sowind Group. Macaluso introduced the first JeanRichard Watches in 1990s. In 2000, the company released the Flyback Chronograph, one of the more well-known watch designs in it’s stable. The main collection includes the Bressel, Diverscope, Chronoscope and TV Screen models.
